Peel Region Canoe Trails

The Peel Region Canoe Trails meander along the Serpentine and Murray Rivers surrounding Mandurah and Pinjarra an hour’s drive south of Perth. An easy half-day paddle takes you past beautiful natural bushland, historical sites and new and old developments including the Mandurah Foreshore with it’s cafes and restaurants.

Canoe hire available in Mandurah. Trail maps due out in October 2009

What to Pack
Plus paddling equipment
Group A items required.
- Full large water bottle per person.
- Sturdy shoes
- Sun hat or bike helmet (compulsory in WA)
- Sunglasses, sunscreen (30+) and insect repellant
- Clothes to suit the activity and potential weather conditions
- Binoculars and camera (optional)
Hazards
Beware of avoidable snags in the river and other boating traffic. Check weather conditions.
